wowI cannot believe how many emails I received in response to my broadcast
email last night, announcing the website. Not that I'm trying to win any awards, but the site's already gotten 300
hits in less than 24 hours. Figures -- Sean's always known how to attract a crowd! Dang brother got all the talent, my
sis got all the smarts, what the heck I'd get??? Oh, that's right. As my Dad so poignantly stated in his toast to
Pamela and Kris at their wedding, I have always been the "entertaining one." Greeeeeat.
Anyway,
made a couple of more changes to the site, as I'm sure all with sound capability will notice. The home page features Israel
"Iz" Kamakawiwo'ole's rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World"...I absolutely
love that version and so did our Mom. I added the PayPal button to the donation page, and used Dramarama's "Anything,
Anything (I'll Give You)" as the vocal back-drop. I always think of Sean when I hear that song, and of a particular
summer when we'd just bought a huge trampoline from Price Club and set it up in the yard. Sean and I would have these
flip contests - whoever could do the most consecutive flips was the winner. When this song came on, we'd be PUMPED!!!
I also added some cartoons for your viewing enjoyment. I wanted to get just about every single one of 'em
made up into a t-shirt for Sean, but then I realized that would probably be obnoxious. I can just see him sauntering
into a room wearing a T that says, "Ask me about my tumor" or "I had brain surgery, what's your excuse?"
It's the kind of in-your-face, I-know-who-I-am brutal honesty that Sean's always employed, and what we've grown
to appreciate and love him for. If he just wasn't always so painfully honest! ;D
I have several 'thank
you' emails to send in response to all of the emails I received today inquiring about Sean. I also welcome feedback. Have
a personal website you'd like added on the Links page for us to reach you by? Let me know and I'll post it. Know of
anyone who's been through a similar experience? Please share their story with us. I really wanted this to be YOUR website
